- Store it flat to protect the spine.
- Do not rest anything heavy on it.
- Keep the pages dry. If they get wet, dry them before closing the book.
- Store it somewhere dry and moderately cool. Extreme heat and humidity will affect it.
- Marks on pages can often be lifted with water or Goo-Gone; let them dry before closing.
- Leather and linen covers clean with a damp cloth. Light scuffs on leather often rub out with a finger.
